Diving on Bali

Diving on Bali

Diving on Bali is always well for suprise. One jumps into the water you expects a completely "normal" diving- as often..... and there he is..... you did not trust your eyes .... a few meter behind that next corals he is.... ...

Yes true ... it is the Mola Mola (Sunfish)

A still young moon fish, curiously exploring us, the divers, looks... with his 2.50 meters he is very impressing - swimming with him is fantastic.

An unforgettable experience... that nearly 30 minutes lasted and will be always in my mind. (sun fish seen and experienced in Bali/Candi Dasa/Tepekong)

The Dive Sites on Balii

Sanur; Nusa Pendia; Padang bay and Candi Dasa; Cemeluk and Tulamben; Pemuteran and Menjangan. The water temperatures in Bali is in a very pleasant range from 24 to 26 degrees.

Nusa Dua and Sanur

Diving in Nusa DUA is at a Reef starting after Sanur to Nusa Dua. This diving area is mainly used because it is very simple for diving so for beginners or for refreching your diving knowledge it is perfecte. Here are not very much corals but some nice fish.

Nusa Pendia

The dice sites around Nusa Pendia and Lembongan Iceland require a long boat journey. Fastest it goes with the Speedboat (approx. 1.5 hours). Here you find nice drop off. Here are often strong currents. This diving area is recommended only for experiencing divers. The fish - and corals are excellent.

Candi Dasa and Padang Bai

The Amuk Bay in front of Padang bay - also blue lagoon mentioned - offers a flat mixed reef with sandy soil as well as unites reef walls, nice corals and fish variety. It is simple to reach and very variedly - also for beginners suitably. The islands before Candi Dasa - Tepekong, Gili Mimpang and Gili Biaha offer excellente dive sites with a very high fish wealth and fish variety - at new and full moon you find many large fish. Due to the strong currents the water is sometimes cold and the dive site requires diving experience.

Cemeluk and Tulamben

Teluk Cemeluk in the proximity of Amed offers a reef near the beach with slopes and walls. It can be reached by both or directly from the beach. The current here are rather small. The corals specially the hardcorals are very well and much different kinds of fish. The warck in Tulamben is a highlight of Bali and loads to the unlimited photoshooting. The wrack can be reached very simple directly outof the beach. Tulamben also offers a very nice wall for diving with enormous, colourful Gorgonia.

Pemuteran and Menjangan

Pemuteran offers very nice sand banks and underwater hills, reachable directly from the beach or alternatively in few minutes by the boat. Here you can find a good selection of corals and fish - seasonally also Mantas. Menjangan is marin natural reservat in the northwest of Bali. The dive sites are only reachable by boat in about 30 min. of Labuan Lalang. Diving around Menjangan captivates by its crystal-clear water. The coral walls on Menjangan leads vertically 30-60 meters down - partly with caves, groves and tunnels. The highlight is anchors wreck.
